A NEW CHAPTER FOR EVERY FIBRE

Cardboard
Another life starts here.

Cardboard follows a different recycling journey from plastics. Its useful resource is the fibre, recovered through a paper-and-board recycling route.

FOLLOW THE MATERIAL

A journey beyond its first use.

Select a stage to explore ↓

A typical industry pathway for suitable material. The actual route depends on composition, condition and the agreed receiving process.

STAGE 1 OF 6

Separate paper-based stock

Keep cardboard away from plastic, food residues and general rubbish.

What could it become?

Possible destinations include new cardboard and paper products. This is an industry fibre-recovery pathway, not a claim that Poly-Cycle manufactures finished board.

THE POLY-CYCLE CONTRIBUTION

Connecting your waste
with a useful next step.

Poly-Cycle lists cardboard, ideally in baled format. Its published service includes nationwide collection and waste reporting; the original site does not state that it operates a paper mill.

Nationwide collection

Published transport options range from 7.5mt rigid vehicles to 44mt articulated trailers, with Moffett facilities if required.

A record of the material

Poly-Cycle offers monthly or annual waste reports with grades, weights and EWC codes, plus a Waste Transfer Note for each collection.

Value worth discussing

Its published service offers rebates and instant payment on ex-works terms. Confirm the terms for your particular batch.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

Useful materials deserve useful futures.

01 /

Give fibre another use

Recycling keeps a useful paper resource in circulation.

02 /

Protect the stream

Dry, separated card is a better starting point than contaminated stock.

03 /

Improve collection practicality

An agreed bale format makes bulky packaging easier to handle.

The opportunity is to retain material value and reduce avoidable disposal. The benefits of each load depend on its condition, transport, processing and the virgin material its next use can replace.

A BETTER STARTING POINT

Help the team assess your material.

Share clear information before arranging a collection. It helps Poly-Cycle discuss suitability, handling and a practical route.

Ask about cardboard ↗
  1. Keep cardboard dry and separate.
  2. Remove plastic inserts and excessive non-paper contamination.
  3. Tell the team about coatings, food or paint residues.
Does cardboard become plastic pellets?

No. Cardboard is recovered as fibre through a suitable paper-and-board route. Plastic pelletising and paper pulping are different processes.
