FOLLOW THE MATERIAL

A journey beyond its first use.

Select a stage to explore ↓

A typical industry pathway for suitable material. The actual route depends on composition, condition and the agreed receiving process.

STAGE 1 OF 6

Identify the pipe

Record PE80 or PE100 markings, the source and whether the material is clean production scrap or previously used.

What could it become?

Wider industry uses recycled polymers in selected non-pressure pipe applications. Grade quality and applicable product requirements determine suitability.

THE POLY-CYCLE CONTRIBUTION

Connecting your waste
with a useful next step.

Poly-Cycle’s original materials list names gas and water utility pipe scrap in PE80 and PE100 grades. It also lists pipes among the material formats it works with.

Nationwide collection

Published transport options range from 7.5mt rigid vehicles to 44mt articulated trailers, with Moffett facilities if required.

A record of the material

Poly-Cycle offers monthly or annual waste reports with grades, weights and EWC codes, plus a Waste Transfer Note for each collection.

Value worth discussing

Its published service offers rebates and instant payment on ex-works terms. Confirm the terms for your particular batch.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

Useful materials deserve useful futures.

01 /

Recover substantial polymer

Pipe off-cuts can represent a useful concentrated stream.

02 /

Preserve grade information

PE markings help the team evaluate options.

03 /

Support the right next use

Recovery works best when material performance matches the application.

The opportunity is to retain material value and reduce avoidable disposal. The benefits of each load depend on its condition, transport, processing and the virgin material its next use can replace.

A BETTER STARTING POINT

Help the team assess your material.

Share clear information before arranging a collection. It helps Poly-Cycle discuss suitability, handling and a practical route.

Ask about utility pipe scrap ↗
  1. Photograph grade markings and fittings.
  2. Keep PE separate from PVC and other pipe types.
  3. Describe dirt, service residues, metal inserts and lengths.
Will recycled pipe become new gas or water pressure pipe?

That should not be promised. Pressure applications have stringent requirements; a different, suitable non-pressure application may be the appropriate next use.
